Our Elgin Eye Doctor

I joined Vision Source in 2020 after previously working in the dog training industry and customer service. I am passionate about helping customers feel not just comfortable, but confident in their daily eye wear! I am originally from Connecticut and moved to Texas in 1999. In my free time, I enjoy working with my German Shepherd, playing music, and boxing.

I joined Vision Source in 2018 and previously worked in customer service. I have a passion for sharing knowledge of eye care. I was born and raised in Bastrop, and in my free time, am known for enjoying life outdoors, fishing, and hunting. I've also been known to save kittens from my coworker's engine!

I joined Elgin Vision Source in 2021 after spending many years in hospitality and retail management. I enjoy problem solving and providing outstanding patient experience. I am originally from Arizona and moved to Texas in 2014 after graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in Retail and Consumer Science. In my free time, I enjoys spending time with my 2 dogs, trying new restaurants in Austin, and watching true crime documentaries.

Dr. Clayton Rutkowski is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He grew up in the small town of Karnes City, TX and obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He then attended the University of Houston where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Rutkowski completed his first externship at Good Neighbor Community Clinic in Houston providing primary care and ocular disease diagnosis and management for the under-served members of the community. His second externship was at a San Antonio Vision Source, where he focused on primary care and contact lens fitting. Dr. Rutkowski is excited to continue his work as part of the Vision Source team now in Elgin. He looks forward to providing exceptional personalized eye care for the community in and around the City of Elgin. In his spare time, Dr. Rutkowski enjoys delving into astronomy, the occasional video game, fishing and spoiling his dog Holly.
